Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage

What is Deep Tissue Massage?

Deep tissue massage is a massage therapy modality that utilizes a variety of moderate to deep pressure techniques to release tension, adhesions, knots, and trigger points within the deep layers of muscle, fascia, tendons, and other soft tissue structures.  Deep tissue massage can help to realign these soft tissue structures and is especially helpful in treating chronic aches and pains such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.  Deep tissue massage techniques typically utilize slow, deep massage strokes with hands, knuckles, forearms, and elbows.
